Alhamdulillah, we are excited to announce a Special Program with Shaykh Yasir Qadhi on Saturday, April 25th at 12 PM at the ICN Al Falah Academy when he will be visiting our school to address the parents and our students. Parents – please take advantage of this excellent opportunity to meet with Shaykh Yasir Qadhi and listen to him speak.

ICN Fundraising Campaign

As you are aware, ICN has launched a fundraising campaign to start raising funds for a large project on the new land on 248th Avenue. The first phase of this project will include a school which will be used by ICN Al Falah Academy, Inshallah. So, we strongly enourage all parents to support this project by donating as well as attending the Fundraising Dinner on April 25th – please see flyers below for details on the project.

We wanted to get the children excited and involved in the ICN fundraiser. A simple way to do this is to encourage your child to recite surahs to family members. For each surah recited, please donate $1.00, or more each time your kid recites a surah to encourage the child to recite the surah along with donating to the masjid. Please refer to the letter with the form that was sent in your children’s backpacks.

Deadline for returning ziploc bags with collection: TOMORROW, Saturday, April 18th

We encourage every parent to donate at least $5o towards this important project and get the reward for sadaqa-e-jariya

Please note that REGISTRATION IS CLOSED for the fun, family outing, Chicago Family Palooza due to an overwhelming response.

Quiz Bowl Competition for 3rd and 4th graders – February 7th, 2015

Assalamualaikum wr wb,

This Saturday, ICN Al-Falah Academy’s 4th  grade students will be participating in the Annual Quiz Bowl Competition. We want all the parents of 4th graders to attend the competition as well.  This knowledge competition is mandatory for all students in the 3rd through 7th grade. The study guide (sent via email) will help your child prepare for this interactive, fun, and highly beneficial activity.
The Study guide has been posted on CMS website as well.  Please help your child prepare for the Quiz Bowl using the attached study guide!

Hopefully everyone had a great winter break with family and friends.

Classes will begin on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 inshAllah.

There will be no School this Saturday, January 10th, 2015.
Alhamdulillah, we had good participation in The Salah Connection event and the results will be announced after winter break on Jan 17th.

We are pleased to announce the next big competition, The Annual Quiz Bowl to be held in March. The study guides will be available soon.

Please note that there will be no school for the next couple of weeks:

NO SCHOOL – Nov 27th – Thanksgiving Break

NO SCHOOL – Dec 6th – Parent Teacher Conference

Although there are no classes on Dec 6th, the Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Saturday, Dec 6th at ICN Ogden. Jazakallah Khair for all parents who signed up – please adhere to your appointment time.

Alhamdulillah, we had a good turnout last week at the ICN AFA Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting. The PTO will be helping AFA on special school projects and other activities. All parents are welcome and encouraged to join the PTO team, please contact pto-team@icnschool.com if you have any questions.

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to announce a special session called Tahara Tidbit – by Shaykh Ahmed Saeed to teach students the proper way of performing tahara, wudu and salah.

We have extended the registration for “The Salah Connection” program – deadline to Thursday, November 27th since we want all students to participate. The program will be held on December 13th and Registration is REQUIRED to participate in the program: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

The goal of the program is to motivate students of 1st Grade to Youth Program (Grade 8 & above) to memorize the translation of all recitations of the Salah. When we make Salah, it is so important that we understand what we are saying to develop a firm connection with Allah (SWT).

We have compiled a packet that includes all the postures of salah, with the Arabic text and the English translation. Every student is encouraged to memorize the translation of the salah and will be awarded exciting prizes as follows:

  • Category Gold: Memorization of translation of Complete Salah
  • Category Silver: Memorization of translation of postures 1-7 of Salah
  • Category Bronze: Memorization of translation of postures 1-3 of Salah
  • Prizes include iTunes and Toys R Us gift cards; cash prizes.

We highly recommend you to work with your child and help/him memorize the translation for a better understanding of the salah and develop a strong and sincere connection with our creator.
