Please note that there will be no school for the next couple of weeks:

NO SCHOOL – Nov 27th – Thanksgiving Break

NO SCHOOL – Dec 6th – Parent Teacher Conference

Although there are no classes on Dec 6th, the Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Saturday, Dec 6th at ICN Ogden. Jazakallah Khair for all parents who signed up – please adhere to your appointment time.

Alhamdulillah, we had a good turnout last week at the ICN AFA Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting. The PTO will be helping AFA on special school projects and other activities. All parents are welcome and encouraged to join the PTO team, please contact pto-team@icnschool.com if you have any questions.

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to announce a special session called Tahara Tidbit – by Shaykh Ahmed Saeed to teach students the proper way of performing tahara, wudu and salah.

We have extended the registration for “The Salah Connection” program – deadline to Thursday, November 27th since we want all students to participate. The program will be held on December 13th and Registration is REQUIRED to participate in the program: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

The goal of the program is to motivate students of 1st Grade to Youth Program (Grade 8 & above) to memorize the translation of all recitations of the Salah. When we make Salah, it is so important that we understand what we are saying to develop a firm connection with Allah (SWT).

We have compiled a packet that includes all the postures of salah, with the Arabic text and the English translation. Every student is encouraged to memorize the translation of the salah and will be awarded exciting prizes as follows:

  • Category Gold: Memorization of translation of Complete Salah
  • Category Silver: Memorization of translation of postures 1-7 of Salah
  • Category Bronze: Memorization of translation of postures 1-3 of Salah
  • Prizes include iTunes and Toys R Us gift cards; cash prizes.

We highly recommend you to work with your child and help/him memorize the translation for a better understanding of the salah and develop a strong and sincere connection with our creator.
